Our History
New Deal was established in 1953 by Mr. Vernon Briley as a Tool & Die shop to service the automotive industry. As New Deal's reputation for quality, on-time delivery, and unmatched customer service grew, customers outside the automotive industry partnered with New Deal allowing integration and expansion across new markets and applications.
New Deals' first major expansion outside the automotive industry was an investment to provide parts for the over-the-road trailer industry. New Deal's quality, operational fortitude and ability to provide parts to the high demand automotive industry, aligned nicely with the demands in the trailer industry. Over the years, as New Deal's portfolio of parts in the trailer industry has grown, New Deal has become a leading supplier to the trailer parts industry. New Deal has also expanded to adjacent markets and provide parts and service to the RV, marine trailers, and agricultural trailers markets.
Additional investment and acquisitions has allowed New Deal to become a leader in the metal stamping industry. With a full range of presses ranging from 12 tons to 600 tons and locations in Portland, TN and Swansea, SC, New Deal is equipped to handle your high volume, high tonnage requirements as well as your short-run stamping needs. Our stamping capabilities include valued added services with assembly, sub-assembly, soldering, brazing, spot-welding and production welding.
Today, with production located in Tennessee and South Carolina New Deal is a leading supplier of trailer parts across many industries, with capabilities to provide Progressive Dies, Transfer Dies, Line Dies, Short Run tooling, Die fixtures and repairs, New Deal is a turnkey and leading Tool & Die organization and will an over 200 presses with capabilities up to 600 tons, New Deal can meet your metal stamping needs.

2022 was a new high-water mark for expansion of our employee programs and our community and charitable giving efforts through the creation of the Community Giving Program which allocated funds for each employee to donate in their community charities. In 2022, New Deal had 100% employee participation in the Community Giving Program. The generosity extended to food bank charities like Portland Pay-It-Forward and Second Harvest of Middle TN, Children charities like Widow and Orphans of Tennessee Fund, Health and Cancer related charities such as the Rosie Foundation, St. Judes, Vanderbilts-Ingram Cancer Center, the American Cancer Association. the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Nashville, the Monroe Carell Jr Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt and the Vanderbilt Children's Hospital

New Deal Trailer Parts has been focused on the servicing the trailer industry for over 30 years and is a proud member of the National Assembly of Trailer Manufacturers.
Recently adopted as part of the Snell Manufacturing family of companies increases warehousing potential, adds shipping from two additional locations and increases its growth for new parts and production techniques. Today New Deal is facing the future with the same devotion to quality products and customer satisfaction it has held for 70 years.
